Certification Training

Graduate of The American Academy of Reflexology where he studied with Academy Instructor, Ko Tan, of Atlanta, Georgia in the Bill Flocco technique: Integrated Foot Hand Ear Reflexology – the most comprehensive reflexology system known today. David has over 500 hours of study specifically in reflexology and in addition has completed a certification program in Quantum Healing/Energy Theory and Medical Intuition with well-known medical intuitive and teacher, Kim Seer, of Detroit, Michigan. In 2010, David completed a certification course in Facial Reflexology with world-renowned teacher, Lone Sorensen, from Barcelona, Spain, referred to as the Sorensensistem™. (Click here to see her story by colleague Graham Sluter of the UK) David is currently in a one-year course of study in Temprana Reflex Therapy with Lone Sorensen - see Lone’s presentation abstract at the Autism Around the World Symposium - 2010.

Affiliations

David has maintained a practice in Hendersonville for 9 years and for the past 5 years has been working in affiliation and collaboration with Point the Way Health Consultants, which includes Trisha Miller, PhD, Clinical Psychologist, and Ashley Poore, Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. Trisha Miller, founder of Point the Way Health Consultants, has dedicated this holistic practice to attaining the highest emotional well-being for all clients. In addition, David maintains a close working relationship with the practice of Mary Wall Tucker, a Family Nurse Practitioner, who has dedicated her practice to integrative health care and the mind, body, spirit and emotional components to wellness.

Memberships

Served on the Advisory Board to the Board of Directors for the National Organization: the Reflexology Association of America (RAA); as Past Board Member for the Reflexology Association of America; as Past Treasurer of the North Carolina Reflexology Association and is a Member of the International Council of Reflexologists and the Global Reflexology Network. David is currently managing the web site for the North Carolina Reflexology Association.

Community Service

In addition to his private practice, David has been actively involved as a professional volunteer for over 6 years in bringing reflexology to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care in Henderson County, NC and is dedicated to expanding the recognition and benefits of reflexology, making it available to as many people as possible.
